Location:
The University of Memphis is located in Memphis, the largest city in Tennessee.

Campus:
The University of Memphis campus covers 1,160 acres and is home to 202 buildings at eight sites. The University of Memphis is home to many intercollegiate sports teams, including men's basketball, women's basketball, football, men's golf, women's golf, men's tennis, women's tennis, and more.

The University of Memphis also has a Park Avenue Campus, which is located on the corner of Park Avenue and Getwell Road, directly south of the main campus. The Park Avenue Campus houses many intramural athletic and research facilities and is also home to the Defense Contract Audit Agency's main training facility.

Enrollment for The University of Memphis in fall 2008 was 20,214. Of the 20,214 students, 15,813 were undergraduate students and 4,401 were graduate students. According to The University of Memphis web site, 67 percent of students attended full time, while 33 percent attended part time. The UM website also showed that 62 percent of students were women and 38 percent of students were men.

Doctoral degrees are offered in 21 disciplines, including Business Administration, Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, English, History, Mathematical Sciences, Music, and more.

The University of Memphis also offers a Specialist Degree in Education, as well as a Juris Doctor law degree program, and online programs.

Male applicants must submit evidence of selective service registration. Applicants who do not speak English as their native language must provide results of the TOEFL test, or an equivalent test.
